Additionally, you have probably found yourself in situations where you are supposed to be listening to a lecture, a sales pitch, or a speech, but you find your mind wandering elsewhere.  Based on last week’s discussions, what technique(s) for effective listening did you use to focus on the speaker and filter out messages that interfere with the message, or which are of no interest or are not important to you?
