Project Metrics, Monitoring – Discussion.
or this week’s discussion, assume you are heading a PMO in an organization that manages a portfolio of capital projects, and you have decided to develop a formal procedure for how dashboards have to be designed. A section of this procedure is supposed to identify the type of materials, necessary metrics, and KPI that, at a minimum, need to be included in the portfolio resource management dashboard for better monitoring and control (Reference dashboard design and dashboard content in Chapter 7 of the textbook).
For this section of the procedure, prepare a narrative (not a bulleted list) to identify the type of materials, necessary metrics, and KPI that, at a minimum, need to be included, and describe your rationale.
Respond to two or more of your classmate’s postings in any of the following ways:
- Build on something your classmate said.
- Explain why and how you see things differently.
- Ask a probing or clarifying question.
