One personal strength that I have regarding presenting a topic or idea is that I am prepared, know and understand my topic in order to give a clear and informative presentation. One weakness I have with presenting is that I get nervous speaking in front of large groups of people. I have worked on this throughout my previous college education and I still get some nerves every time I have to speak in front of a large crowd. One method I would think would assist with nerves regarding formal presentations includes preparation; however I always feel that I am prepared. In turn, I must just ensure that I have confidence in myself to present effectively and demonstrate the time I have taken to research and prepare for the topic being presented. Confidence in oneself can take time and I feel practicing the presentation, asking for feedback and knowing the material will all assist with ensuring that I have a positive presentation. It is important to work on confidence when presenting so that the message is presented in a clear way that will benefit the target audience.
