In this activity, you will go through OSHA’s eTools on Machine Guarding and Woodworking. You will also complete the Lockout/Tagout tutorials and case studies. Upon completing the eTools and case studies, you will submit an essay providing an overview of these activities.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s eTools are interactive, web-based training tools that address an array of occupational safety and health topics. For this module activity, you should complete the Machine Guarding eTool, the Woodworking eTool, and the Complete OSHA Lockout/Tagout Interactive Training Program. As part of the lockout/tagout tutorial, you should also review the following OSHA case studies and complete the case study questions to enhance their learning, and to ensure they effectively understand and can apply their knowledge of lockout/tagout.

After completing the eTools, provide a short essay response to the following:

Provide a quick overview of the eTools and the OSHA lockout/tagout tutorial. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses associated with these OSHA tools. Describe what OSHA could do to improve the tutorials based on what you know about the application of this information in the workforce, and whether you believe this is an effective training tool.
