Amazon is a global company that has only grown larger over the last five years. Expansion brings many organizational challenges, including maintaining a positive company culture. To combat this Amazon keeps it more professional than positive. Being professional is a neutral option. It’s neither cold or warm. It’s not bad, and morale can be higher if supervisors care for their employees.

GameStop is facing challenges in their sales due to gamers having options to play through digital platforms on their consoles and smartphones. Reported sales on preowned video games and hardware fell more than 21%, however accessories revenue increased almost 19%. Loss in hardware sales is being blamed on the convenience in shipping from Amazon and Walmart.

To overcome the challenges, GameStop could become an exclusively online merchant and save money on the brick-and-mortar overhead costs. They could direct their focus to accessories, customer service, and rapid shipping. When Netflix first began operations, movie rental was based on membership and shipping dvd’s to customers based on their rental preference. GameStop could take advantage of the used DVD selection and implement the same concept with games. Customers could have the option to purchase or return.
